February for JROTC

Updated: May 3, 2022

This month is packed with many activities for the NJROTC program, including an archery competition on January 9th against Madison High School. Almost every weekend has something going on.

One important event was a color guard at Point Loma Naval Base to help commemorate a change of command event. In a change of command, the highest leader (the Commanding Officer or CO) passes their responsibilities and duties to a new person to grants them the authority to be the new CO.

After the color guard was done, a Naval officer presented them with Challenge Coins, or as Hochbrueckner called them, “Pokemon Cards of the Navy.”
