Mrs. Haz's Class Artwork

“This was a Jean-Michel Basquiat project. Art 1-2 students learned about JMB, an abstract/pop artist from the 1980s. We practiced drawing things using contour lines (one continuous line) and drew self portraits using the same method. JMB often used crowns, words, and heads in his artworks, and we did too. I encouraged the students to use words that were meaningful to them.”
