With the track season of 2022 coming to an end, the Pointer Press would like to recognize the end-of-season accomplishments for the track and field team, as well as highlight some runners and athletes who have achieved amazing things this year and set new standards of excellence.
Congratulations to Manny Correia, Sophie Compton, and Mikaela Miles as our new school record holders! Sophie, an outstanding runner in track and cross country, broke the 3200m record with an amazing time of 10:52.71. Manny, another stand-out runner on the track and cross country teams, broke the 1600m record with an incredible 4:14.62. Finally, Mikaela broke the triple jump record with a major jump of 38 ft. 2.5 inches.
