Canadian singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes and Cuban singer, songwriter and actress Camila Cabello have been a part of each other's lives for a while, but lately many people believe they are much more. Rumors of a romantic relationship between the two artists have been around for years and until recently there hasn't been much to prove anything real was going on besides a few flirty tweets.

Once news of a collaboration between the two got out, fans were instantly intrigued and the rumors and suspicions of their relationship only grew. When asked if they were dating during an interview with James Corden, they both continued to respond with “No.” When their duet, “Senorita,” came out in July 2019, word of Camila’s possible break up with her current boyfriend at the time came to life. Once it was confirmed that Camila Cabello and Matthew Hussey broke up, Shawn was spotted in Miami with Camila looking like a little more than friends. Although the pair would still not admit to being in a relationship, that did not stop fans from blowing up the internet with tweets about their Miami fun. In August they finally did admit to dating and relationship seemed to be in full swing.

Camila was featured on the cover of Elle, Women in Music issue, in which she writes,“Honestly, this past year and a half was the first time I really experienced falling in love with another person. I think there is so much more depth to love when you know you are in it with another person. You have so much more to say—I think that’s what makes me emotional.”

Not everyone supports Camila Cambello and Shawn Mendes’ relationship or even thinks its real. Some people think the couple are faking a relationship for public relation purposes related to their new song. In fact, one person called their relationship an “Oscar-worthy performance.” So what do you think? Are Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello in love as they claim to be? Or is it all just a PR stunt?
