It’s no secret that 2020 was a rather interesting year. Despite the devastating impact of the pandemic, people around the world still found ways to create new trends. Here’s some of 2020’s most notable.
TIE-DYE
As lockdowns surged across the country, Americans desperately looked for things to keep them occupied. Tie-dye did just the trick. People across the country began to make tie-dye jackets, sweatpants, and even masks! High end brands such as Gucci even joined in and added tie-dye designs to their collections!
ATHLEISURE
With school, work, and all social events taking place on zoom, many of us became accustomed to wearing athleisure and/or pajamas, rather than getting fully ready. Sweatshirts and sweatpants became a major fashion trend in 2020, due to the comfort they provided.
SELF-CARE
2020 was a stressful year. Many people used the time away from their regular routines to practice self care. Workout videos, face masks, and other wellness activities were extremely popular. Perfect for de-stressing!
TIKTOK
Tiktok, (which was already famous prior to 2020), became even more well-known during the pandemic. Creators around the world danced, made whipped coffee, and shared their quarantine activities with the rest of the app. Scrolling through Tiktok became a widely popular pastime!
